Clinical

Clinical Knowledge Engineer

Turn clinical guidelines into explicit, sourced rules, and keep them current. The symbolic half of the system.

The role

You will write the clinical logic Chroneme decides with: reading guidelines and the literature, encoding them as explicit rules, citing their source, and testing them on real cases.

Every rule you write has to be readable by a clinician and checkable in a single case.

What you’ll do

  • Translating guidelines (KDIGO, ASCO, AHA and others) into rules with stated reasons and sources
  • Maintaining rules as guidance changes, with a clear change record
  • Building test cases for every rule with the physician fellow
  • Working with the AI engineer on what each rule needs as input

Your first year

In your first 12 months: a rule set you own end to end, each rule sourced, tested and reviewed.

What you bring

  • Clinical background: PharmD, RN, PA or MD
  • Experience in clinical informatics, decision support or order sets
  • Precise writing; comfort with logic and structured data

Nice to have

  • Experience with clinical terminologies or CDS standards (CDS Hooks, FHIR)
  • Some programming (Python or SQL)

About Chroneme

Chroneme is building neuro-symbolic AI for medicine: one record of each person, in order and in context, read by learned models and decided by explicit clinical rules that state their reason and their source. It tells the care team who needs attention and why, and prepares the work for a clinician to sign.
