Postdoctoral Research Fellow (MD)

You will run the science that decides whether Chroneme is right: study design, chart review, adjudication, and the papers that report what we find, including where it falls short.

You will work across the record, the rules and the models, with a clinician's eye for what matters at the bedside.

• Designing and pre-registering validation studies with the biostatistician
• Leading clinician chart review and outcome adjudication
• Reviewing rules and findings for clinical correctness
• First-authoring manuscripts and presenting at meetings

In your first 12 months: a pre-registered study completed and a first-author manuscript submitted.

• MD or DO, with clinical training (residency completed or in progress)
• Interest in clinical informatics and AI
• Experience with clinical research or chart review

Wünschenswert

• MPH, MS or research fellowship
• Publications in clinical research or informatics

A one or two year fellowship, appointed and employed by the partner hospital.

Chroneme is building neuro-symbolic AI for medicine: one record of each person, in order and in context, read by learned models and decided by explicit clinical rules that state their reason and their source.

This fellowship is held on site at one of the academic hospitals we collaborate with in the Detroit area. It is not remote. The hospital is your employer and provides your appointment, salary and benefits; you work on Chroneme’s validation studies with our team as part of that collaboration.
